Brothers Johnson Duo of brothers – George and Louis Johnson., from Los Angeles. They played with Billy Preston’s band before forming own group in 1975. All of their hits were produced by Quincy Jones.
Louis is considered among the cream of the crop of Bass players.
They broke into the disco scene in 1976 with the single, "I’ll be good to you". In the same year another hit ‘Get the funk out ma face’. Their success continued in 1977 when they charted “Strawberry Letter 23" being no. 2 in billboard.
The duo disappeared for a while, backing stronger than ever with their biggest hit: ‘Stomp!’ in 1980. Their best song by far was the hit ‘Treasure’. Their last big hit was in 1981 ‘The real thing’.
In Brazil the duo was remembered in the remix of ‘Raincloud ’performed by Lighthouse Family. DJ Cuca sampled Áin’t we funk now’ (Hey, aha ae ae ) and included in the song.
